I sometimes have a hard time putting into words what I want to say, so painting and art has always been my way of full self expression.

The inspiration for my paintings comes mostly from nature--with its organic shapes, colors and imperfection, it is probably the place where I am the most imaginative and creative. The stars in the sky, the patterns of water, rocks, and boulders are all so exciting to me.
 

It's a complex process to create a harmonious composition on canvas or paper based on something I see while taking a walk outside or digging my toes through the sand at the beach, but somehow the more experiences outside, the more ideas I have when in the studio.
